Growing In raised beds or pots
Take these steps below to start growing your true organic and Non-GMO healthy food garden
Build your raised beds or place your pots in the sunniest location of your garden, preferably in the southern exposure or in an area that gets at least 6-8 hours of full sun.
For Raised Beds: Till the soil at the base of your beds to open up the earth.
For Pots or Containers: Wash them thoroughly of anything you had in them prior to planting to prevent transfer of disease or mildew.
For Raised Beds: Prepare a Compost Tea using our Compost Tea for Fruits, Vegetables and Tomatoes, and drench the entire soil surface of your raised beds. This will start to awaken and feed the biology existing in the soil.
NOTE: Each sleeve of Compost Tea has 4 tea bags in it, and each tea bag will produce up to 5 gallons of compost tea. We recommend using 5 gallons of compost tea at the base of a 4x6 or 4x8 raised bed.
Fill your beds, pots and containers with Baby Bu's Potting Soil, up to 1" below the rim. It's an all-in-one potting soil that has everything you need to get your garden growing. It also has 25% of our Bu's Blend Compost in it.
Plant your seedlings or sow your seeds directly into your soil and water in.
After 4 weeks of planting, use our Compost Tea for Fruits, Vegetables and Tomatoes, to water the entire soil surface of your raised beds, pots and containers.
Compost Tea drench the entire soil surface with Compost Tea for Fruits, Vegetables and Tomatoes once a month thereafter.
At the beginning of every growing season, compost the entire surface with Bu's Blend Biodynamic Compost at 1" throughout and water in.
Every two years, preferably in the spring, remove the top 6" of soil, then replace with Baby Bu's Potting Soil. Then plant your spring seedlings and seeds directly.
Continue these organic protocols and you will have thriving crops each season and your soil will grow healthier every year.
